Mrs. Anne M. Teyssier, age 100, of Marietta, GA, formerly of Palmetto, FL, passed away August 26, 2014.

Anne will have no tomorrows, but she embraced 100 years of yesterdays. Anne’s life was lived with grace, joy, optimism, adventure, and a terrific sense of humor.

John and Brigitte Rotchford, Anne’s parents, immigrated to Philadelphia, PA in the early 1900’s from Newfoundland. She had seven siblings who preceded her in death. Most of her adult years were lived in and around Sarasota and Palmetto, FL. Her “life began” as she put it when she married Roger Teyssier in the 1970’s. Roger would remain the “love of her life” until his death in 2002. Anne “missed him every day”. During their years together they sailed (in their sailboat) the Bays and Seas from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic, Caribbean to South America. On one sailing trip they took five of their grandchildren. Anne was BRAVE! They also made multiple RV trips across the USA, visiting almost every state, including Alaska. Anne did many things well. She was an avid reader and seasoned seamstress. She could crochet Barbie clothes and make a man’s dress shirt. Anne also had exquisite taste in decorating. Mostly, Anne was “over-joyed” by her grandchildren and great-grands. She loved holding them in her arms and hugging them as they grew older. A few weeks ago at her 100th birthday party she said, “They have all gotten so old, and I haven’t.” She laughed, and she did that well, too.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Roger Teyssier and her eldest son, Kent Innes.

She is survived by her son, Barry Innes; former daughter-in-law, Lynda Stromberg; granddaughters, Pamela Innes, Heather Lovelace, Jodi Abel, Mia Innes, Brittany Innes, Danielle Kessenger; grandsons, Vance Innes, Chase Innes, Sean Innes, Andy Teyssier; many great-grandchildren.

According to Anne's wishes, she was cremated. Her services and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery where her remains will be placed with her late husband, Roger. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the USO. The family offers special thanks to Crossroads Hospice and Bickford Marietta ALF Staff.
