Ashley was 2 years and three months old in October of 2001. She was described as friendly and outgoing. Her nicknames were "snugglebug," "punkinhead" and "tickle bug." In March of 2001, she was diagnosed with a PNET brain tumor. She had surgery and the entire tumor was removed. Unfortunately, in September of 2001, the tumor returned and had spread to her spine and brain. It was now inoperable. Ashley returned home and passed away on October 11, 2001, with her entire family beside her.
Ashley is the daughter of Chip and Teri Romer and sister to Jesse Olson and Matthew Romer.
