PRESQUE ISLE – Frances B. Sturgeon, 73, died peacefully Oct. 27, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born April 19, 1932, in Mapleton the daughter of Forest and Blanche (Morse) McPherson. Frances worked for many years at Converse Shoe Company and also Potato Service Company. Her favorite past time was watching the Boston Red Sox, especially Johnny Damon. Frances especially enjoyed playing bingo. Surviving her is her husband of 47 years, Warren Sturgeon, of Presque Isle; her children and their significant others, Lonnie Sturgeon, Kevin Sturgeon and Theresa and Donna Fraser and Randy, all of Presque Isle; two grandchildren, Joshua and Dylan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Calvin Lee Sturgeon; her stepfather, Harold Michaud; and two brothers, Jim and Bernard McPherson. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fairmount Cemetery in Pres-que Isle with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle.
