Henry Charles Woolever died of disease during the Civil War. He enlisted in Manheim NY on 4 Jan 1864 with the rank of Private and was paid a bounty of $300. He was attached to Company L, 18th Cavalry Regiment, NY State Volunteers, Corning Light Cavalry. As part of the 5th Cavalry Brigade he was in service in Washington DC and Louisiana. He died and was separated from service on 15 Oct 1864; it is unknown if he was sent home for convalesce or if he died in Louisiana.
