Shirley was born in Springville, Utah County, Utah on October 1, 1923, to Joseph Daniel Bagley and Emma Spafford Bagley. She was the youngest of four children.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Ludlow Cope; son, Greg Miller; two daughters, Melody (John) Tuft and Brooke (Ron) Ollis; ten grandchildren, Bryan (Michelle) Ackerman, Brett (Tara) Ackerman, Kristi (Wade) Fautin, Kami (Troy) Madsen, Kaprece (Shannon) Staples, Kassi (Josh) Bybee, Jennie (Mike) Brown, Jason (Camille) Ollis, Dustin (April) Ollis, and Dirk Ollis; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Josephine Bagley and Jane Jensen; and brother, Daniel Bagley.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. There will be another viewing held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014, with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m., also at the mortuary.
