Rickey Carlisle
HARKER HEIGHTS Services for Rickey G. Carlisle, 58, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with the Revs. Ed Melton Jr. and Carl Bongos officiating. Burial will be in Killeen City Cemetery.

Carlisle died March 3, 2006, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 14, 1947, in Belton.

Carlisle graduated from Killeen High School, where he played football. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration.

Carlisle was former president of The First National Bank and was senior vice president of First Texas Bank.

He was extremely active in many community activities and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Carlisle of Harker Heights; one son, Blake Carlisle of Austin; two daughters, Kimberly Henderson of Harker Heights and Holly Ray of Collierville, Tenn.; his father, J.E. Carlisle of Harker Heights; one brother, Rex Carlisle of Salado; three granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters.

Carlisle was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Sue Carlisle; and his son, Greg Rookie.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
