CHARLES B. CRISWELL

MONTICELLO--Charles B. Criswell, 57, 906 E. Third St., Fowler, died at 7 a.m. Friday at Williamsport Community Hospital. He had been ill 10 days.

He was born in White County, near Brookston, Aug. 14, 1925, to Fred and Viola Ward Criswell. He was married May 6, 1949, to Helen Van Laere, who survives.

He was a former engineer for the Indiana State Highway Department and served with the Navy Seebees in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He was a member of Fowler American Legion.

Surviving are five brothers: Norman, of Rogers, Ark.; Joel of Hammond, Fred of Rockville, Richard of Lafayette and Frank of Columbus, Ohio; and three sisters: Mrs. Audrey Zarse and Mrs. Margaret Anliker, both of Chalmers, and Mrs. Wilma Griffin of Lafayette.

A brother and two sisters preceded in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Gerald A. Stevens will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, where military services will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
