Born in Oklahoma, he lived in Texas for awhile with his wife. Three of his sons were born there before the family moved to CA. An auto mechanic by trade, he worked mostly with Ford dealership garages during his time in California. He and his family lived for a time in Monterey, Coalinga, Atascadero, Merced County and Redding, CA. After retirement, he worked with his sons in various auto and transmission shops. Avid fisherman and camper.
