James and Catherine had 11 children: Mary (Sprinkel), John Grove, Jane (Thompson), Hannah (Coffman), Elizabeth (Parshall), David, Martha (Kelsey), Adaline (Nixon), James H, Catherine (Lidey), William H.

James was a shoemaker, cabinet maker, operator of Red Stone Tavern, and a vet. He died from an infection from working with animals.

He was born on a ship that sailed out of Northern Ireland. The Aulds were from the Edinborough, Scotland area originally. The ship's passengers were related by blood or marriage from the Auld clan, the Burns clan and the McKinley clan.

The name of the cemetery where he is buried is not confirmed. No records found. But his possible brother David Auld is buried in Bridgeport Cemetery in Brownsville, along with other Aulds. This is the most likely place for his grave, probably unmarked.

There is information that James was buried on the Brown farm. The current Bridgewater Cemetery used to be the Brown farm, so I now have this site as the most likely.

Miscellaneous Cemeteries of Washington Co, PA by Canonsburg Chapter DAR, located in Uniontown Public Library, Uniontown PA, PA Room. This shows a James Auld along with two David Aulds. However the death date shows Jan 10, 1832, so this is not him. The cemetery is listed as a Presbyterian cemetery located near US Rte 40, Sunset Beach, Washington Co, PA. This is a possible burial place.

There is also the Carroll Cemetery in Washington Co where there are many Aulds. Another possibility.

In Brownsville there was a Presbyterian Cemetery located next to the Episcopal Church. However the cemetery is in ruins. Another possibility.
