Rocky A. Woodburn, 52, of Stockport, passed away at 9:08 p.m. August 28, 2014, at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born January 1, 1962, in Marietta, a son of the late Norma Thomas Woodburn and George Woodburn of McConnelsville.

He was retired as Chief of Police in McConnelsville, member of F.O.P. Zane Lodge No. 5 of Zanesville, life member of the NRA, Morgan County Gun Club, Neelyville Grange, Morgan FFA Alumni and life member, Morgan County Fair Board, Morgan County Republican Central Committee, and founder of MOCO Team Blue.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother Russell "Rusty" Woodburn.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 31, at the Church Of The Gospel Ministry in McConnelsville, with F.O.P. services at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributios may be made to MOCO Team Blue or to F.O.P. Zane Lodge No. 5 in Zanesville.
