She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Mast , Sr., and her sister, Roselee Ashworth Buchanan.
She graduated from Radford College Summa Cum Laude, and taught high school during World War II. She was a member of the Blacksburg United Methodist Church. Along with her husband she enjoyed alumni social events and gatherings at Virginia Tech.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Lorne Wenzel, of Orlando, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles C., Jr. and Nga Mast , of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three grandchildren, Anne, Lorna and Sarah Wenzel, all of Orlando, Fla.; special niece, Helen Stone, of Greensboro, N.C.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the friends and neighbors for their kindness and support for many years. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg with the Rev. Reggie Tuck officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Whisner Building at Blacksburg United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
