Originally buried in the Stedman Family Cemetery in Pittsboro NC, this grave was archeologically excavated and the remains and artifacts recovered have been reinterred in the Pittsboro United Methodist Church Cemetery. The work began on 9 March 2022 and all remains from the Stedman Family Cemetery were reinterred on 3 May 2022. A memorial stone will be placed at the gravesite in the fall. The descendants would like to thank everyone involved in this project and would like to thank Pittsboro UMC for generously providing a plot for reinterment.
