Michael Jeffery "Bodean" Jones, age 38, of Wytheville, Virginia, died Monday, October 30, 2000 in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Jones. He is survived by: a daughter, Laura Leigh Jones; a son, Christopher Lee Wilson; his mother, Mary Lucille Blevins (all of Wytheville); seven sisters - Emily and Roy Dunford of Rural Retreat, VA, Mary Allison of Wytheville, VA, Gayle and Ricky Winbourne of Maysville, NC, Lorraine and Steve Reed of Wytheville, VA, Christine and Robert corvin of Rural Retreat, VA, Elizabeth and Dickie Burnette of Galax, VA, and Jackie and Wesley Simpson of Maysville, NC; four brothers - Charles and Sandra Allison ofr Loris, SC, Earl Jones, Jr. and Sue Stroupe of Wytheville, VA, David Jones and Kathy Remines, Johnny Jones all of Rural retreat, VA; special friend and mother - Bonita Jones Gordon; special friend Ricky Parks, 32 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces, 11 great nephews and 1 great-great niece also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Meadows and Aloma Warrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday or at the residence at any time. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
