Buried Monday
Funeral services were held Monday, December 15, for Thomas Mithen, 92, retired Lucas county farmer who died at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton on Friday afternoon, December 12.
The Rev. Father C. J. (unreadable) conducted the (unreadable) a.m. funeral from the Sacred Heart Church at Chariton with interment in St. Mary's cemetery in Woodburn.
He was a resident of Chariton the past (unreadable) years after retiring from farming while in the Woodburn community.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth McNair of Chariton, a nephew and two nieces. One niece is Mrs. Perry Diehl of Osceola.
