William Boughner was the son of John Adelbert Boughner and Mary Ellen Harris and was born in West Bloomfield Township in 1870. He married Lillian Randall, the daughter of Alfred Randall and Lorinda Orr, marrying in West Bloomfield Township on April 4, 1894. He worked in Detroit as a bookkeeper. Many of his family suffered from Type 1 Diabetes and William passed away from that at the age of 48, having fallen into a diabetic coma.
