He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, the Busy Men’s Bible Class, and the Modern Woodmen of the World. He was owner and operator of Gordon’s Grocery on Cypress Street for 45 years. He was the recipient of birthday greetings from President Richard Nixon on his 89th birthday.
He is survived by one son, Harry C. Gordon, Jr., of Hagerstown; one sister, Mrs. Mary Klippinger, Hagerstown; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
