Barbara Jean Mason, daughter of Russel Warren Boor and Glida Opal (Cline) Boor was born February 26, 1928 in Woodburn, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Clarke County Hospital at 90 years of age.
Barb received her education in Woodburn, Iowa and graduated from the Woodburn High School in 1945. Barb then attended Capital City Commercial College and graduated in 1946.
She was united in marriage to Ivan Eugene Mason on December 18, 1948 at Osceola, IA and three children, Bruce, Gayle,and Brian blessed this union. Barb and Ivan had lived in Woodburn, Des Moines and Boulder, Colorado for a time.
Barbara worked as a Accounting Clerk for Iowa Southern Utilities for 14 1/2 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Clarke County Hospital Auxiliary, Osceola Eagles Lodge Aerie #3495 and the Osceola Eagles Auxiliary. Barb and Ivan loved to dance and traveled to dances all over Iowa. After Ivan's passing in 2009, Barb remained very active and was involved with various card groups over the years.

Barb leaves to cherish her memory; son, Bruce (Jean) Mason of Altoona, IA, daughter, Gayle Mason of West Des Moines, IA, son, Brian (Lori) Mason of Urbandale, IA, grandchildren, Carla (David) Rivas of Pleasant Hill, IA, Ryan (Megan) Mason of Ankeny, IA, great-grandchildren, Benett Rivas, Henry Rivas, Violet Rivas and Winnie Mason; brother, Robert Boor of Osceola, IA; brother-in-law, Clifford Mason of Osceola, IA; sister-in-law, Bonnie Mason of Red Oak, IA; as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
