Donald James Whitmer was son of Clifford Addison and Grace Mae (silvis) Whitmer.
Donald James Whitmer 47. Emlenton, died this morning at Butler County Memorial Hospital. The cause of his death is under investigation, according to hospital officials. Born July 6, 1931 in Emlenton. Mr. Whitmer was the son of Clifford and Grace Silvis Whitmer. He had been employed by the Industrial Celloids of Emlenton for a number of years. He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Mae Wolff Whitmer; a son, Richard A. Whitmer of Emlenton, and two daughters, Loretta J. & Victoria S. all at home, his mother Mrs Grace Whitmer of Emlenton; two brothers, Eugene Whitmer and Clifford Whitmer, Jr., both of Emlenton, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Regal and Mrs. Eileen Curry, both of Butler.
Private funeral services for Donald will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Criswell Funeral Home, Emlenton, with interment in Emlenton Cemetery
