McMAKIN, ALICE VIOLA SHAW, of Crestwood, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home.
She was retired from Farm Bureau Insurance Company after 40 years, and was a founding member of River Valley Christian Church, a founding member of Northeast Christian Church, a member of Oldham County Historical Society, and Farm Bureau Retirees.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Dale (Barb) and Patrick; grandchildren, Micki Sweatman, Patrick and Jennifer McMakin; and great-grandchild Alden Sweatman.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Burial will follow in Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m.
