Mrs. Florence Delzorie Gaddy, 55, of Johnston School Road, died Monday morning en route to an Asheville hospital.
Mrs. Gaddy was a native of Madison County, had resided in Buncombe County 35 years, was a daughter of Monroe and Lizzie Sparks Banks. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are the husband, Andy Gaddy; a son, Fred Andy Gaddy; three daughters, Mrs. Elaine King and Mrs. Freida Marie Thompson, and Mrs. Melvis Lee Eldreth.
Also four sisters, Mrs. Stella Wilson, Mrs. Madge Honeycutt, Mrs. Mae Carter and Mrs. Vernie Blankenship; two brothers, Arthur Banks, and Troy Banks; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry Dycus will officiate. Burial will be in Banks Cemetery in the Laurel Valley section of Madison County.
