Albert lived most of his life in and around Downs, KS. He joined the United Brethren Church when a young man. He was a WWII veteran, serving from August 1942 to January 1946 in the Air Force as a heavy automotive equipment operator. In 1947 he married Edith and they had two daughters. He worked at Midway Co-op and Pork Packers, Inc. Also he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Smith Center.
