Ann B. Fishburn
Beneath this stone rest her slumbering dust
and near her is interred
the bodies of three infants
two sons and a daughter
Her virtues as a wife and mother are
too deeply engraved in the heart of her
bereaved husband, who placed it here to
need an inscription on this marble.

After many months of wasting disease
through which she stayed herself upon the
mighty God of Jacob demonstrating by a
patient, humble, serene frame of mind her
resignation to His will

She died on the 11th Novr. 1838
aged 31 years 1 month and 22 days

The once lov’d form now cold and dead
Each mournful thought employ
And nature weeps her comforts fled
And withered all her Joys

But wait the interclosing gloom
And Lo! stern winter flies
And dressed in beauty’s bloom
The flowery ___ arise

Hope looks beyond the bonds of time
When what we now deplore
Shall rise in full immortal prime
And bloom to fade no more.
