Ada was one of three daughters of Marie and John B. Moro. Both Marie and John were born in Italy. Ada was the oldest living sister when she died at 97. She was born in Guadalupe, California where her father owned a bar and restaurant. Her father moved his family to Santa Barbara where Ada went to Santa Barbara High School. She worked for her father and mother when they owned the Ledo Café in Montecito and she married Harry Pool Sr. Later in life, she worked at Info Mag and UCSB in the kitchen.
