Jessie Sylvania (Scroggins) Walker was born April 16th, 1943 in Wagoner, OK to Buster James and Myrtle Mae (Rankins) Scroggins.

She married the love of her life, David Allen Walker on February 26th, 1960 in Oklahoma City. This union was blessed with five wonderful children. Jessie worked as a cook for Keys Schools for many years and was an assistant pastor of Come and Dine Church in Tahlequah, OK. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed being outside gardening, fishing or catching some good finds at the local garage sales. As a hobby she loved to collect Porcelain dolls. Most of all, she valued any time spent with her family. The Lord called Jessie to his eternal home on August 23rd, 2014 in Tahlequah, OK. She was 71 years old. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; two sons, Wesley and David Allen Walker, Jr.; one daughter, Karen Adair; one sister, Ruby Carr; one brother, Lloyd Scroggins and one granddaughter, Mayleigh Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Danny Walker and wife Sheila of Gore, OK, William Walker of Keys, OK and Victor Adair of Tahlequah, OK; three brothers, Bobby Scroggins and wife Bernice of Wagoner, OK, JB Scroggins and wife Sue of Wagoner, OK and Richard Scroggins and wife Susie of Porum, OK; four sisters, Helen Hendrix and husband Raymond of Tahlequah, OK, Brenda Lenard and husband Johnny of Wagoner, OK, Lois Dobson of Tahlequah, OK and Dolly Tillison of Tahlequah, OK. Jessie's legacy lives on in her five grandchildren, Cassandra Adair of Tahlequah, OK, Danelle Walker of Gore, OK, Kensley Walker of Park Hill, OK, Jesse Fair and wife Malorie of Tulsa, OK and Masyn Walker of Maysville, AR; one great grandchild, Nova Adair, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 at 11:00 am at Reed Culver Funeral Home with Rev. Jean Ogle Officiating. Interment will follow at the Walker Family Cemetery. Pallbearers for Jessie include William Walker, Raymond Hendrix, Bobby Scroggins, Jason Adair, Jesse Fair and Adam Adair. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Adair, Victor Adair and JB Scroggins.
