Died 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 71, a native of Jonesboro and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired Stanacola medical receptionist. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by Dr. Robert E. Anderson. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by husband, Ethen A. McCarty, Baton Rouge; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jackie M. and Herman Hue, Pierre Part, and Delores Ann McCarty, Baton Rouge; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William A. "Billy" and Trudy McCarty, Prairieville, and James Bourgeois "Mickey" McCarty, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Gloria Jean Thompson, Nevada, and Opal Beckermeyer, Haughton; and a granddaughter, Jennifer McCarty, Prairieville. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters, and a brother. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and board of directors of Baton Rouge Acadian Lions Club
