Arthur J. Wyse, 85 dies in Mt. Pleasant

Wayland-Arthur John Wyse, 85, died at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1975. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wayland Mennonite Church with the Rev. Nick Kassebaum officiating. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to Parkview Retirement Home of the Wayland Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Beatty-Jennings Chapel in Wayland.

Mr. Wyse was born Oct. 21, 1890, at Archibald, Ohio, the son of Christian and Sarah Short Wyse. In 1912 he married Clara Edith Knebel who died April 12, 1916. On Nov. 27 he married Lillian Ann Weaver at Wayland. She died Feb. 6, 1967.

He was a retired farmer, member of the Wayland Mennonite church and resident of Parkview Retirement Homes.

Survivors include one son, Roger of Bloomfield; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Farrier of Brighton; 12 grand, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard of Allegan, Mich., and Dan of West Unity, Ohio; one sister, Elizabeth Aschliman of Archibald, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wives; one son, Russell Charles; three sisters and two brothers.
