Pvt. George D. Norris, 23, of 6560 S. Western av., son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Norris, was killed in action Sept. 12. He was serving his second enlistment. He had served with the 23rd infantry regiment of the 2d Division in the Philippines and was discharged in 1947. While employed by American Can Company, he enlisted again last April and was sent overseas in July. (Photo)
