Son of Ala "Aley" Newell and Nancy Whitaker
Aley left Tishomingo Co., in the mid-1860's and never was heard of since. A family was moving thru and the wagon broke down, and he went to help. Never returned.
He left his wife, Nancy and several small children, she had a hard time raising her family.

Rumors are that he ended up in TN, remarried and had more children.
