Loving husband of Glenadine Appleby Lorimer. Also, my Great Uncle Floyd! I didn't know him too well as he lived so far away but what I do remember of him was only good and I miss being able to get to know him better.

Floyd William Lorimer, one of three children, was born to Floyd William sr.,
and Clytie B. Morley Lorimer, July 29, 1921, at Concordia, Kan.,and died March
9, at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, at the age of 58 years, 7
months and 11 days.
The first 18 years of his life was at Clyde, Kan., where he attended school
and graduated from Clyde High School.
July 30, 1942, he was enlisted in the United States Army at Ft. Leavenworth,
Kan., serving his country until his honorable discharge Feb. 8, 1946, at Base
Lowry Field,. Colorado, at the rank of Sergeant.
Nov. 8, 1942, he was united in marriage to Glenadine.Appleby at Ft.
Leavenworth, Kan. To this union two daughters, Katherine and Debra, were
born. •
Prior to moving to Superior 13 years ago, Lorimer and his family lived at
Holton, Kan., where he managed the theater for nine years.|Since living in
Superior, he has been the manager of the Crest Theater.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Superior American Legion Club,
Masonic Lodge of Sterling. Kan.; B.P.O. Elks
Lodge, and was a former president of the Superior Kiwanis Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Those left to mourn are his wife, Glenadine; his daughters, Mrs. Robert Dye
(Katherine) of Beatrice, and Mrs. Bruce
Kronberg (Debra), Birmingham, Ala.; his grandchildren, Jacqueline and
Robert Dye and Andrea Kronberg;
two sisters: Mrs. Nancy Robinson, Madras, Ore., and Mrs. Shirley Drees,
Tenino, Wash.; one brother, Charles Lorimer,
Oak Harbor, Wash.; and many other relatives.:
Services were Wednesday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. from the
Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marion Knoell officiating. Burial
was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Floyd's "brother" Charles was actually the son of Nancy Lorimer Robinson (father is James Boggs). He was born out of wedlock and Nancy gave him to her parents for adoption. Charles is my father.
