Clyde Junior Drain
SHINNSTON — Clyde Junior Drain, 79, of Shinnston, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born August 22, 1928, Shinnston, WV, a son of the late Coke Robert Drain and Louis Edgell Drain.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl A. Stevens Drain whom he married February 2, 1955.
He is survived by two sons, Robin D. and Terry Drain of Shinnston and Timothy R. and Rhonda Drain of Shinnston; two daughters, Terri L. and Marion Cawthon of Weston and Wendy K. and Clinton Holt of Shinnston. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Joey Cawthon, Nathaniel Drain, Jason Drain, Thomas Drain, Rachael Drain, Shenna Drain, Cheyenne Holt, and Sierra Holt; two stepgrandchildren, Eric Newbrough and Stephanie Gainer; and one great-grandson, Ethan Cawthon.
Mr. Drain was preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert Clair “Bud” Drain, Charles Harold Drain and David Drain.
Mr. Drain was a truck driver and a former employee of the City of Shinnston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Clyde loved to fish, sight see and tinker around. He was a Baptist by faith.
Family and friends may call the Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007, and on Sunday, December 16, 2007, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Dorsey Funeral Home, with Ivan Hawkins officiating. Interment will be at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery, Shinnston, WV.
