W. Frank Huggins 1949-2014
Walter (Frank) Huggins, 64, of Pensacola went to heaven Friday, August 15, 2014. Frank was born December 27, 1949 in Munich Germany. He worked for Armstrong World Industries in Pensacola for over 35 years. Frank struggled for the last 2 years with Pulmonary Fibrosis/Asbestoses and survived a stroke and heart surgery. But when you were around Frank you rarely heard him complain. Frank without a doubt will be remembered as an amazingly resilient individual. Frank loved Pensacola's waterways, lakes and rivers. He spent much of his free time trolling and net fishing off his boat. Frank spent many autumn weekends watching Florida Gator and Saints football. He truly enjoyed traveling to these games with friends. Frank was an accomplished cook. Many weekends would find Frank cooking for the Huggins extended family. He knew his way around a kitchen as well as the backyard grill. Frank, who was never at a lost for words, was a gracious, kind person who made friends easily. Clarence Ladner was his friend for forty years. Frank's family would like to thank Clarence for speaking at Frank's Funeral. We know Frank would have smiled in agreement, laughed at some of the predicaments Clarence related and been touched by the true friendship. Frank was preceded in death by his two sons Ryan and Jeremy Huggins, his brother Mike Huggins and his father Hubert Huggins. Survivors include his grandsons Hayden Huggins and Dillon Hall, mother Hilda B Huggins, his brother David Huggins, sisters Helen LeMaster and Barbara Gambill, brother-in-law Raymond Gambill and several nieces, nephews and friends.The funeral services were held Monday Aug 18,2014 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Frank we will see you in heaven one day " Go Gators"
