Emily Norene Arnold
CALDWELL - Emily Norene Arnold, 89, of Caldwell and formerly of Homedale, died Thursday, Thursday, 1992, in a Caldwell hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Pastor Colin Saxton of the Homedale Friends Church will officiate.
Norene Arnold was born on July 1, 1903, in the Franklin District N.E. of Caldwell, a daughter of Wm. H. and Celie Trostle. She moved with her parents to the Central Cove Community in 1909. She attended school in Central Cove, Homedale and graduated from Boise High School. She then finished her schooling at Lewiston Normal in Lewiston. On July 1, 1927, she married Frederic A. M. Arnold in Boise. They purchased a farm in the Gem District south of Homedale in 1930 where she lived until 1966. She lived in Boise until 1975 when she returned to Homedale. In 1992, she moved into the Odd Fellows home in Caldwell.
Norene was very active in her church and other
organizations. She was a member of the Friends Community Church in Homedale, the D.U.V. in Boise, the Homedale Senior Citizens, and a charter member of the State Lind Grange.
Survivors include her brother, T.J. Trostle of Wilder; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one sister, and one brother.
