Mr. LaFaire had been a yard foreman with Chicago Transit Authority.
Survivors include three sons, Keith LaFaire of London, KY; Gerald LaFaire of O'Fallon, MO; Kurt LaFaire of Marble Hill, MO; a daughter, Sharon Wishner of Marble Hill, MO; two stepdaughters, Tammy Pitts of Marble Hill, MO; Marsha Haney of Tampa, FL; three stepsons, Donald Greer, Jr., Mark Greer and Johnny Greer, all of Marble Hill, MO; a brother, Bob LaFaire of Chicago; a sister, June Wilfurs of Chicago; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel today. The funeral will be Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
