Lester L. Bixenman was born July 7, 1906, in Sidney, Neb. and moved to Utah, where he attended school. He later worked in a Utah copper mine.
He moved to Bremerton in 1940, where he was a welder at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He moved to Bainbridge Island in 1944. He retired from Foss Tug and Barge Co. in 1968.
He was a member of Machinists Local 79 and the Seabold community and past member of the Bainbridge Volunteer Fire Department.
