Eva Mae Loomis Obituary
Loomis, Eva Mae, formerly of Chesaning and Clio, passed to the Kingdom on Sunday, November 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years of age.

Eva Mae was born in Prescott, MI on March 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Elmer and Lillian (Cox) Schagel. Eva Mae grew up in Prescott and graduated from West Branch High School in the Class of 1949. She was united in marriage to Harold Jack Loomis in Churchill Twp. in December of 1949. They had lived in Flint and Clio. After Harold's death, Eva Mae moved to Chesaning.

Mrs. Loomis was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris. Eva Mae was a life member of Mt. Morris Chapter #474 Order of Eastern Star. In earlier years, Mr. and Mrs. Loomis were active in the various functions at the Mt. Morris Masonic Temple.

Eva Mae is survived by her daughters, Betty Rathfon (David Gulvas) of Thomas Twp. and Bonnie (Harold) Wittbrodt of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, Cynthia Mayhew (Peter Bishop), Debra (Barry) Walser, Kimberly (Tony) Bolanowski; Carrie (Thomas) Dempsey, Elizabeth (Daniel) Adams; and Scott (Nichole) Paton; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; two brothers, Bud and Charlie Schagel; and a son-in-law, Paul Rathfon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Rev. Daniel Botsford will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Contributions in Eva Mae's memory may be made to Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles for their activity fund or Residential Hospice.
