Hattie is a common nick name for Henrietta or Harriet.
She married William James Buckles (3/26/1828-1/4/1917). Their children were: Joseph Buckles (1898-), Flora Buckles (1899-) Besse, Joseph Buckles (1901-1901) and William Buckles (1903-). One child, Anna Buckles (1895-1992) Carpenter, was listed as William's step daughter (1910 census) so Hattie may have been married before. Plus, Caroline, William's first wife didn't die until 1897. Also, these children were born 1898 to 1903 and William would have been in his 70's so I wonder about these children, too. Even Hattie would have been 35 to 40 years old. So either, the dates are off, or they were grandchildren, they were raising, because it wasn't heard of for women to have children over 35 in those days???
Also, William had children by his first wife Caroline, so Hattie's step children were: Theresa Buckles I(1862-1906) Shattuck, Amelia Buckles (1863-1921) Rarey, Herman Buckles (1865-1921), Matilda Buckles (1873-1948) Green, and John Louis Buckles (1879-1963).
