ARMSTRONG – Memorial services for Marvea LaVonne Clymer, 68, of Armstrong, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Free Methodist Church in Armstrong with interment in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died February 21, 1999 at Valley Vue Care Center, Armstrong.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Her family is in charge of arrangements.

She was born September 9, 1930 in Armstrong, the daughter of Nicholas and Vida (Eckholm) Burgess. She attended Armstrong School and received her GED from Estherville. She attended one year of business college at Norfolk, Virginia. July 6, 1963 she married Charles Clymer at Norfolk, Virginia. She was employed as a lead lady at Wadco Foods in Estherville and then at Weigh-Tronix in Fairmount, Minnesota. Before retirement she and her husband owned and operated their own semi-truck. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Armstrong and V.F.W. Auxiliary in Armstrong.

She is survived by her children: Dawn, Genon, Marjorie, Tammy, Kimberly, and Todd; 21 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Fae and Darrell; one sister, Delores; nieces, nephews, and others.
