Her obituary in the Greensboro News & Record (NC), June 15, 2003, provides that she was a native of Cabarrus County but had lived in the Greensboro area most of her life.
She was survived by son, Roy O. Waldrop and wife, of Stoneville; daughters, Louise Robinson of Summerfield, Daphne DeHaven and husband of Pleasant Garden and Lucy W. Baker and husband of Bear Creek; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Waldrop and daughter Irene Welchel.
NOTE: The deceased daughter, Irene (26 Jan 1921 - 5 Aug 2002), bore the Waldrop name but there is no evidence of her being in that household. She was present in the household of Corrie's parents in the 1930 and 1940 censuses and likely raised there. Research provides that she married widower E. Otis Welchel in July 1950. That marriage ended in divorce.
