Alice Daggett, 68, of Camp Point died at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 27, 1987) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy where she had been a patient since Sept. 29.
Mrs. Daggett was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Camp Point, a daughter of Dudley and Matilda Phillips Jacobs. She married Herbert Daggett, March 20, 1941, in Adams County.
A former telephone operator, Mrs. Daggett also had worked as a postal clerk in Camp Point. She was a graduate of Maplewood High School in Camp Point and was a member and past president of Rebekah Lodge and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Daggett was interested in genealogy and was a member of several area genealogical organizations.
Surviving are her husband; and a son, LeRoy Daggett of Clearlake, Calif.
Mrs. Daggett was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by the Rev. Gordon Bond. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Camp Point.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday until time of services in Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
