He was a native of Ferdinand, IN, an Army veteran of World War II and the retired founder and president of Allied Aluminum Products. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and past president of the National Remodelers Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine Becher Wilmes.
He is survived by four sons, six daughters, five brothers, two sisters, 18 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at his church, 510 Breckenridge Ln., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or Trinity High School.
