Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Obituary:
Mary Anne Boswell “Nannie” Akins, 64, of 601 Mt. Olive Road, wife of Larry Eugene Akins, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her home.

Born in Union Point, GA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Preston Boswell and Dorothy Frances Pearson Boswell. Nannie was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills-Sloan Plant and Fuji Film. She loved traveling and spending time with her family. At the age of 60, she achieved her Associates degree in Applied Business with a major in Human Services from Piedmont Technical College with aspirations of working with DSS because of her love of children. Nannie was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Preston Poss and by a brother, Willie “Billy” Boswell.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children: Kellie Mahaffey, Curtis Poss, Jr., Laurie Johnson, all of Greenwood, Sandra Akins, Kimberly Akins, both of Clinton and Talisa Turner of Sumter who was raised in the home; two sisters, Kathy Duffie (Mike) of Greenwood and Cindy Stockman (David) of Ninety Six; a brother-in-law, Charles Michael “Stump” Akins of Waterloo; two sister-in-laws, Debbie Lynn Gravley (Michael) and Pat Ellison (Clyde), of Greenwood; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her “baby” her beloved dog, Crickett.

Pallbearers will be Gage Poss, Tyler Akins, Wayne Isbell, Chris Floyd, Michael Barry and Tanner Fain.
