BEARD
Percy Morton Beard, brother of Mrs. Allan Edelen, of Harrodsburg, died in Tulsa, Oklahoma, last week, The funeral and burial were at Tulsa, where he had lived for the past ten years. Mr. Beard was 63 years of age and the son of the late B. F. Beard and Margaret Hensley Beard, of Hardinsburg. He was graduated from Vanderbilt University. His father was a prominent merchant of Hardinsburg, and after his death, the two sons, Percy and Morton, carried on the business for some years. When Mr. Percy Beard moved to Oklahoma he engaged in the real estate and oil business. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Corn Richardson Beard, and four children; Mrs. Mary Franklin Reid, wife of Capt. R. R. Reid, of Fort Bragg, N. C.; Miss Clara Beard, of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Glen Ash and Miss Cora Beard, of Tulsa. He also leaves two brothers. Marvin and Charles Beard, and one sister, Mrs. Edelen, of Harrodsburg.
