Lieutenant Prudhomme was a member of Attack Squadron 76, Carrier Air Wing 9 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS ENTERPRISE (CVAN-65). On December 22, 1965, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4C) about 15 miles northeast of Haiphong, North Vietnam when he was shot. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
