Born August 17, 1924 in Detroit to Ernest and Clara (Grey) Brunson. She was the second of five children. She attended St. Clair Elementary, Barbour Junior High School and Southeastern High School in Detroit. She was a stenographer with the Detroit Police Department, retiring in 1975. Professing her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, She was an active member of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, where her father was a deacon, serving in the Sunshine Band and participating in Sunday School. She transferred her membership to Saint Cyprians Episcopal Church in the 1950s. She married Alphonso Daily in June 1947, and raised three daughters, Janis Willyne, Linda Allan and Lisbeth Anne. She passed away on March 6, 2001 at Oak Pointe Villa in Detroit. Leaving to cherish her memory were her daughters, Janis, Linda (Curtis) and Lisbeth (George); Grandchildren Sam (Melissa), Lisa, Lauren, Janis, Christina, Elise and Laura; Sister Charla (Clarence); Brother Caleb (Janet); nieces, nephews and many relatives.
