Bowers, March 24 - Solon F. Angstadt, 69, died yesterday at his home here.
Born in Ruscombmanor Township, a son of the late Isaac and Annie (Fenstermacher) Angstadt, he had been employed by the East Penn Weaving Co., Topton, prior to his retirement last year.
Angstadt was a member of Christ (DeLong's) United Church of Christ and formerly served for 15 years on its consistory. He was also a member of the Topton American Legion and Lyons Fire Co.
A veteran of World War I, he is survived by his widow, Eva L.(Zwoyer) Angstadt; a daughter, Arlene M., wife of Karl W. Master; a son, Charles Z., both of Kutztown; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Reinhart, Kutztown; Katie, wife of John Sanders, and Sue, wife of Charles Smith, both of Lyons; three brothers, Elmer and Lloyd, both of Lyons, and Dewey, Fleetwood R.D.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Christ Church, here, the Rev. Dr. Franklin D. Slifer officiating. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Fritz & Kendall Funeral Home, Kutztown.
