enlisted at age 18 or 19 on September 10, 1861, at Westfield New York He mustered in as Sergeant of Company I. on October 1. 1861.
He reenlisted on January 1, 1864, and was wounded in action on September 19 1864 at Winchester Virginia
He mustered out with the regiment on July 17, 1865 at Clouds Mills Virgina and died in 1911.
Nahum Arnold served as 1st Sergeant of Company I at the battle of Gettysburg.
