CLARK – In Norwich, Conn., May 22, 2000. Dorothy A. Smith Clark of Crestwood Lane, Peabody, wife of the late Robert A. Clark and mother of Joan Williams of Salem, Conn. Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:15 a.m. from the Conway Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours are Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
Dorothy A. (Smith) Clark, 83
Norwich, Conn. – Dorothy A (Smith) Clark, 83, of Crestwood Lane, Peabody, Mass., wife of the late Robert Clark, died Monday, May 22, 2000. In the William Backus Hospital in Norwich, after a long illness.
She was born and raised in Malden, Mass., daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Holden) Smith, and graduated from Malden High School and Malden Business School.
She was employed at General Electric Company, in Lynn, Mass for many years and later in the company’s Ebandale, Ohio facility. She was a salesperson at Filene’s at the North Shore Shopping Center for 16 years before she retired and was a member of the Golden Age Club of Peabody.
Mrs. Clark leaves a daughter, Joan Williams of Salem, Conn., two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ruth Clarke.
