Joseph A. Zeman, 74, of (Brockville) Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient for one week.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. The Rev. Charles Freuden will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. The Drews-Bleser Post of the American Legion of Manitowoc will conduct military graveside services.
Mr. Zeman was born March 22, 1897, in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late Adolph and Anne Skarivoda Zeman. He was a veteran of W.W. I, serving 13 months in the states as a motor vehicle instructor. He married Clara Frolich Oct. 26, 1920. The couple farmed in the Town of Kossuth until his recent illness. Mr. Zeman was a member of the Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of Manitowoc, a director of the Two Rivers Livestock Shipping Assn. and a member of the Manitowoc County Farm Bureau. He served as a former clerk of Brockville School and was past director of the Francis Creek Fire Dept. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in October of 1970.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Floyd of Kellnersville and Edward of Maribel; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Sedlacek of Larabee and Mrs. Clarence Wenzel of Brillion, and 11 grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceeded him in death. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
