Robert Hunt lived in Northamptonshire in England. He probably married his wife Susan there. He was admitted as an inhabitant to Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1638. He was probably living there when he made his will, dated October 2, 1640, because he names inhabitants of “Charles Towne” to be his overseers. In the will, he calls himself “late of Sudbury in the county of Hampton”. The actual name of the town in Northampton is Sudborough or Sudborow. He names his wife Susan and refers to his children, but doesn’t name them.

He died some time before November 24, 1642, because on that date, the goods and lands of Mrs. Susan Hunt of “Soodberie” were inventoried, indicating that she was a widow at the time of her death.
