John E Cash, 78, of 721 Russell Road No. 3 died Wednesday, May 15, at Covenant Medical Center at West Ninth Street of natural causes.
He was born July 25, 1912, in Cedar Rapids, son of John and Mary Coenen Cash. He married Lucille Kruse on Nov 26 1942 in Waterloo.
Mr. Cash was a budget coordinator for Rath Packing Co., retiring in 1976. He was past president of the National Association of Accountants.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jim of Florida; a daughter, Mary Barlow of California; and two grandchildren; he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo; and a sister Mildred Crew.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St Edwafds Catholic Church, with burial at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. There will be no visitation. O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St Edward's Catholic Church or the Covenant Medical Center Hospice Unit.
